Clayton Turner is an Operating Partner at Andromeda Ventures, where he helps founders turn frontier technologies into scalable, operationally disciplined companies. He brings more than 35 years of experience leading complex engineering organizations, maturing breakthrough technologies, and delivering mission-critical systems at national scale.

Before joining Andromeda, Clayton served as Associate Administrator for NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate, overseeing the agency’s full portfolio of technology maturation and demonstration programs. He enabled infusion of next-generation capabilities across human spaceflight, science, and exploration missions. Previously, as Director of NASA’s Langley Research Center, he led 3,500+ employees in multidisciplinary teams advancing aeronautics, science, exploration systems, and advanced structures and materials.

Clayton is a recipient of the Presidential Rank Award and the NASA Distinguished Service Medal. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and a Trustee on the Board of the Rochester Institute of Technology.
