Payton Davenport

Payton Davenport is a Health Psychology doctoral student at Virginia Commonwealth University. She previously received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Longwood University and a master’s degree in Psychology (with a community concentration) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research interests focus on reproductive and sexual health, health disparities, and women’s experiences within healthcare systems. Her current work examines health-related institutional betrayal and the impacts of policy change (e.g., overturn of Roe v. Wade) on women with chronic health conditions. Through the COVES fellowship, she hopes to further bridge research, policy, and practice to promote equitable, evidence-based health and science policy.
