Hunter Smith is a computer science graduate student at Virginia State University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Virginia State University and previously completed an associate degree in computer science at Brightpoint Community College. His academic work spanned various software, web, and mobile development projects, particularly in topic areas such as resource efficiency, environmental sustainability, financial literacy, and autonomous vehicle systems. He has also conducted research in autonomous vehicle simulation using CARLA. Through the COVES Fellowship, he aims to bridge research, policy, and practice to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions that create meaningful social and economic impact.
